This 275-acre Bonita Springs, Florida tract was assembled by Worthington in May 1998, and taken through the entitlement process, zoned for 550 residential units and an 18-hole golf course. In January 2000, The Bonita Bay Group purchased the tract from Worthington, then sold it to Taylor Woodrow Communities who developed Vasari Country Club.
Located in the quaint town of Sweetwater and nestled in the valley of the East Tennessee mountains, Willow Creek is an exclusive lifestyle community established in 2004 and the only all inclusive neighborhood like it in its town.
Arborwood encompassed over 2,500 acres near Interstate 75 and Daniels Parkway in South Fort Myers, Florida. The land plans included four distinct residential communities with a commercial hub, as well as a site for emergency and governmental services. Worthington established the Arborwood Community Development District, a unit of local government authorized to issue tax exempt bonds, to fund the project’s master infrastructure. In addition to the DRI zoning the property was annexed into the City of Fort Myers and extensive environmental permitting.
COLONIAL COUNTRY CLUB
Worthington obtained 750 acres east of Interstate 75 along a major thoroughfare, Colonial Boulevard. Worthington planned and entitled the property for 1600 residences and an 18-hole golf course designed by Gordon Lewis. Pulte Homes purchased the parcel from Worthington in 2002 and has successfully completed development and sales in the community.
In 2000, Worthington acquired 53 acres in Fort Myers, Florida, as part of a major land purchase and chose to re-market the property with a residential land plan. Worthington secured zoning and construction plan approvals for 576 residential units and 38,000 square feet of commercial - retail and office space.
ENGLE HOMES / REFLECTION ISLES
As another part of the land acquisition that secured the land for Stoneybrook, Worthington obtained 444 acres west of Interstate 75, north of Daniels Parkway. Worthington planned and entitled the property for 800 residences with significant preserve areas and open space. Engle Homes purchased the parcel from Worthington in 2004 and is successfully developing in the community now known as Reflection Isles.
MERCEDES HOMES / DANIELS PRESERVE
Worthington obtained 120 acres east of Interstate 75 in the Daniels Parkway corridor, adjacent to the Gateway Development of Regional Impact. Worthington planned and entitled the property for 215 residences. Mercedes Homes purchased the parcel from Worthington in 2004 and has developed a community there named Daniels Preserve.
US HOMES / STONEYBROOK AT GATEWAY
In 2000, Worthington acquired 337 acres in Fort Myers, Florida, as part of a major land purchase and chose to re-market the property with a residential land plan. Worthington secured zoning and construction plan approvals for 1,500 residential units and the parcel was purchased and developed by US Home/Lennar Corp as Stoneybrook at Gateway.
